Friday Follow - Instagram Edition

My favorite way of learning the design industry secrets is through social media browsing. What better way to gather inspiration and learn from professionals in the field than through the activity we all secretly love?

As a new designer, my insights into the industry started to develop when I found professional designers' social media pages dedicated to their craft.

I'm going to be splitting this topic into different posts, dedicating each one to a specific social media channel. For this first part, I wanted to share some of my favorite Instagram accounts dedicated to design and helping/educating fellow designers.

I started following Maureen after I participated in a CareerFoundry webinar where she spoke about the importance of student/mentor relationships. Her page is focused on helping UX Designers kickstart their careers. She shares some great insights and tips for new designers. Go check her out!

Dan is a career coach and offers some great advice when it comes to portfolios and reaching your full potential. As his username suggests, Dan offers some great tips on landing your next design gig. Definitely worth the follow!

Anfisa does such a great job simplistically explaining UX Design. Not to mention, her page is just a lot of fun to look at. Highly recommend her page if you're looking for someone who can explain complicated ideas in an easy-to-learn way.

If you're in the design world, there's a good chance you already follow Chris. His work is amazing. If you're a creative entrepreneur, he's a must-follow.

Last, but certainly not least, is Miriam Isaac. She's a believer in continuing to educate yourself through reading and gives out some great recommendations of design-related books.

There are so many talented designers out there! Go discover some more accounts to find inspiration and learn some industry tips and tricks.
